Bavarian Ice Festival - January 14 - 15, 2012

Front Street at Night
Enjoy a weekend of outdoor activities for everyone including Leavenworth's famous Smooshing contest, the Ice Cube Scramble for kids 6 and under, the Bavarian Mug Relay, Snow Sculptures, Dog Sled Pulling Competition, and fireworks on Sunday evening.

Spring Sensations Pear Festival - March 31 - April 30, 2012
2012 is the second Spring Sensations Pear Festival in Leavenworth.
Leavenworth is the pear capital of the country and we are here to shout it from our mountain tops! This area is the largest exporter of organic pears, and second in all pear exports, so we've name April, our month of Spring Sensations. Tantalize all your senses with a month filled with tastes, sounds and outdoor fun!
Throughout the month of April, restaurants, shops, wineries and B&B's are highlighting their pear prowess with specialty pear dishes created just for you. Follow the pear map to see what is available.
Leavenworth Choral Festival - April 14, 2012
This is a biannual festival where five choirs are selected from applications received. Choir members participate in a Friday evening desert reception, Saturday workshops, and on-stage rehearsals, culminating in the public concert on Saturday evening. The concert features a massed choir of over 200 voices.
Leavenworth Ale-Fest - April 21, 2012
This is a benefit for the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum. Delicious food and popular northwest bands. Beer tasting with the brews of 20 micro breweries.
Art In The Park - May 1 - October 31, 2012
This show is considered the longest continually-run outdoor art show in the Northwest area. This event is organized by Village Art in the Park, a non-profit arts association in Leavenworth.

Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest - May 17-20, 2012
Come bird with us and discover the natural beauty of North Central Washington state. Hear songs sung only during the breeding season while you stroll, bike, boat, or van during the height of wildflower season. While birding is the heart of the weekend, activities also include wildflower walks, arts events, and family activities to ensure fun and learning for everyone, and for birders of all skill levels.

The Mission of the Icicle Creek Theatre Festival is to advance the American Theater by offering playwrights unique opportunities to develop and showcase their new works; to encourage aspiring theatre students by providing opportunities to learn from working professional actors; and to contribute to the enrichment of arts and culture in Washington State.
Icicle Arts Festival - September 2011 (2012 TBA)
2011 Icicle Arts Festival in Leavenworth features three days of music. This year's festival includes the Icicle Prize in Songwriting, a performance by Andre Feriante at Icicle Creek Music Center's Canyon Wren Recital Hall, film screenings by 2009 Icicle Prize winners, a free open mic with Leavenworth Community Coffeehouse,

and workshops by guest judges from all over Washington State. Tickets are now on sale for Icicle Arts Festival performances, and registration is open for workshops at IcicleArts.org or by calling (509) 548-2278. A free interactive installation takes place at Icicle Arts Gallery through Sept. 19.
The Leavenworth Festhalle is throwing open the doors and bringing in dozens of Washington's favorite wineries. You are invited to to the Bavarian Village to taste outstanding wines, listen to some seriously cool jazz, sample local cuisine, stomp on some grapes, and enjoy a glorious autumn afternoon at the base of the Cascade mountains. This event is brought to you by, and is a fundraiser for, the Leavenworth Civic Center Foundation.
