Hotels, Inns and Motels

There are lots and lots of great hotels in Leavenworth. We have only stayed in a handful of them, so we are highlighting ones that looked interesting to us or that we haven’t written about before.

Alpine Rivers Inn is just a 10 minute walk from town center, near the Safeway. Each time we would drive by we used to say “We need to stay there some time.” Last time we were in Leavenworth we finally stayed there and it was very nice. It is right on the edge of the river. In fact, every room has a deck or patio fronting the river. We kept the window open all night listening to the river, and as we sat on the deck one night a doe and her two fawns sauntered by just below us. It was clean and the prices were reasonable.

Linderhof Village Inn is a nice looking place that throughout the spring, summer and fall, always looks so pretty with its flowerboxes everywhere. They have a variety of different kinds of rooms, including spa rooms and townhouse lofts that are perfect for a family, with a full kitchen and utensils so you can cut down on some eating expenses.

FairBridge Inn & Suites puts a nice Bavarian slant on a national chain. When you pull up, you would never know it was a FairBridge Inn… unless you were thinking of a FairBridge Inn in Bavaria. Indoor pool, exercise room, in-room refrigerators and microwaves. A nice home-away-from-home during your stay in Leavenworth.

Leavenworth Village Inn is a small hotel with lovely accommodations. The Grand Suite looks particularly nice. Just 8 suites and 11 deluxe guestrooms, so a very cozy feel to it.

Recently when we were in Leavenworth, we decided to see how to do Leavenworth “on the cheap.” We stayed at the Howard Johnson. They had good prices, and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms. There was a lot of room to spread out. They also have a complimentary breakfast included.
