Gloves from Magenta
Leavenworth, Washington is home to a lot of great shopping. There are clothing boutiques to fit every style and budget. We love strolling through the shops to find what’s new. On 8th Street pop into Magenta for fresh fashion. Magenta is run by a mom and her 3 daughters and they love helping their customers have a joyful shopping experience. You’ll find everything you need to put together fun and stylish outfits. We love to go there to see what they have. This winter I found these cute little fur trimmed half gloves. I love them.

Front Street is now home to a great little series of shops all under one roof and one business identity, Leavenworth Boutique. Each of the boutiques has its own name, identity and style. The decor of each is distinct. Paprika–The Sophisticated Hippie has 70’s inspired, carefree fashion. JT Blu has unique, cutting edge designer fashion. The shops, which also include Pine Hill Mercantile and Copper Creek also have home and life-style decor and products. Janeane, the owner, describes the four shops as “an eclectic combination of personalities and styles.” It really is that. There are so many gift and home

decor items. We found a great slogan plaque for our daughter. You can also find super infant and children’s clothing and gift items, as well. The shops are connected and it’s a real treat to wander through each. I have a long wish list for the next time I’m in Leavenworth. Be sure you meet Boomer, the resident pooch, while you’re there. (We told you Leavenworth is a pet-friendly town!) The best way to get to know Leavenworth Boutique is through their Facebook page. Watch posts for specials and new boutique items.

If you’re looking for novelty and souvenir t-shirts, Black Swan is for you. They have a wide variety of Leavenworth souvenir shirts and jacket and other trendy slogan shirts and gift items. They have a wide variety of children’s and infant’s clothing as well. If you’re lucky enough to be there when Karen Folden is working she’ll be able to tell you what’s happening in Leavenworth. Her business cards give her title as “Miss Information.” We love stopping in Black Swan for a visit and for our Leavenworth t-shirts. My two favorite shirts come from there.

The Australian Store (yes, there’s a little bit of the outback in the middle of Bavaria) is an interesting store with all sorts of different things for sale. You can find Australian hats, “duster” jackets, and slippers, along with stuffed animals (yes, they have kangaroos) for the kids and swords for the adults. And you can even pick up Vegemite, that Australian treat you either love or hate. But I think you have to be Australian to really love it. In the directory on the right side of the page, click on See Front Door in the listings to see what the front door looks like so you can find it. We’re adding front door photos just as fast as we have them available.
