Leavenworth, Washington, is where “old world” hospitality meets western “come as you are” casualness. Choices range from highly rated inns and hotels, to cozy bed and breakfasts. On a budget this year? (And aren’t we all?) Leavenworth offers budget chain options, as well as small family owned motor inns for your stay.

Getting to Leavenworth, Washington is pretty easy. It’s less than a day’s drive from most major metropolitan areas in the Pacific Northwest. If driving isn’t your thing or you’d like to travel in a different manner, travel to Leavenworth by train, bus or air are options available to you. Several of the storefronts have cozy guest suites overlooking the main thoroughfare.

Want to get out of the hustle and bustle after a busy day of shopping, people watching and just generally enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes of Leavenworth? A rental cabin or house on the outskirts of town or further away in Plain or along the Wenatchee River may be just what you’re looking for.

One of our favorite places to stay is Enzian Inn. Owned and operated by the Johnson family for more than 25 years, Enzian Inn a delightful home away from home for many regular and returning guests. Rooms are delightfully appointed with old world style. Beds are made up with eiderdown and many rooms feature fireplaces. An expansive breakfast buffet is served in the 4th floor Continental Room and includes homemade pastries and made-to-order omelets. Guests are treated to Alphorn concerts twice each morning.

Campgrounds and RV Parks: Not your parents’ camping grounds! These days you’ll find Wi-Fi, riverfront sites, full hook-ups, laundry facilities and kitchenettes. Some offer trolley service to the heart of the village. Can’t miss with the amazing views of the surrounding mountains!

Hotels, Motels and Inns: In every shape, size and fitting every budget. Family owned or chain, a hotel/motel always offers a place to rest and refresh. Where it goes from here varies greatly. Some offer a full breakfast, others offer in-room coffee. If you travel with pets check out the pet accommodations available in some inns.

Guest Suites and Condos: In the heart of town or out in the country, a guest suite or condo is a furnished apartment, usually with a full kitchen or a kitchenette. Some offer special amenities such as a hot tub or a gourmet breakfast delivered to your door.

Rental Homes and Cabins: Privately owned rental homes and cabins offer a private getaway. This type of lodging is available for parties of 2-12. Available by the night or by the week, many offer amenities such as hot tubs and fireplaces.

Lodges and Retreats: Luxury accommodations for a honeymoon or a large family reunion. Some lodges offer privacy for 2, a family retreat for 6-12, or can be the setting for a special occasion such as a wedding or anniversary celebration. Some offer seasonal outdoor activities.

Conference Centers: Several of the larger hotels have conference centers for small or large groups and for wedding receptions.

Lodging Services: With so many options of where to stay in Leavenworth, it can get difficult to find just the right place to stay that meets your criteria. This is where lodging services can be very helpful.

Pet-Friendly: Leavenworth is a largely pet-friendly town. During the summer, you’ll find water dishes for your pet outside many stores. And many hotels and motels have pet-friendly policies.
